Balsa City is arboreal, with almost every building being a giant tree, tree stump, or giant log. Instead of roads, the city has water canals that citizens traverse with log vehicles. The city is situated on an island in the middle of a lake.[1] Balsa River is the city's main source of water,[2] and a giant drain stopper in Dave's trailer park is the only thing that prevents the city from being flooded.[3]
History[]
It's revealed in Lumberjack Day that the city was founded by a beaver named Lumber Jack, who built the city after defeating an army of invading termites in the seven-second war of 1777. Balsa citizens celebrate the Lumberjack Day holiday in his honour.

- The word "balsa" has multiple definitions. It is the name of a type of tree, as well the name of a type of boat.
- Due to having waterways in place of roads, Balsa City is much like Venice Italy, which could have inspired Balsa.
